Bader & Sons Co. was established in 1988 in St. Louis, MI by James (Jim) E. Bader and his wife Valma. Together, they grew the John Deere Dealership from a handful of employees to over 20. In March 2000, Jim Bader passed away from fast-growing cancer. Valma and her sons, Paul Bader and Mark Bader took over the reins. Together, they grew the dealership to 10 stores and service facilities, employing over 250 people in 33 years. On May 20, 2021, the Bader family sold the dealership to Hutson, Inc., headquartered in Kentucky.
