BROOKFIELD, Wis. — July 6 —Hutson Inc. has been chosen as the 2021 “Best-in-Class Dealership” by Farm Equipment magazine.
Farm Equipment presents its “Dealership of the Year” honor annually to farm equipment dealerships in two categories: one for those with $75 million and under in annual revenues and one for dealers generating more than $75 million in annual revenues.
Hutson Inc. earned “Best-In-Class Dealership” in the more than $75 million in annual revenues category this year not only for its outstanding financial and operating performance, but also for its demonstrated commitment to employee training, community involvement and renowned customer service.
Founded in 1990, Hutson Inc. was a 12 store John Deere dealership at the time of judging and retails many shortlines including J&M Manufacturing, Brent, Pottinger, MacDon, McFarland, Landoll, Geringhoff, Alamo and Monosem. Since the judging, the dealership has added 18 more locations through the acquisitions of Bader and Sons Co. and D&G Equipment in Michigan.
The dealership was chosen by a panel of renowned farm equipment experts. In their selection of Hutson Inc. as Farm Equipment’s Best-In-Class Dealership, the judges noted:
“Hutson Inc. performed well in all categories and had strong revenue growth over the last 3 years. Hutson has a strong succession plan in place, focused on building the dealership’s bench strength to prepare for future growth. The dealership also has an employee training program in place and it is a key part of Hutson’s strategy.”
The judging panel included Mark Foster, retired farm equipment dealer and former president of the Mid-America Equipment Retailers Assn. and former board of directors member of the North American Equipment Dealers Assn. (now the Equipment Dealers Assn.); Gord Thompson, a retired dealer and current consultant and trainer with the Western Equipment Dealers Assn.; and Mike Williams, retired executive with the Equipment Dealers Assn.
