John Deere Labor Strike Update

Dear Customer,

At Hutson, we understand your concerns about the recent headlines regarding the labor strike within John Deere’s workforce. While our employees remain committed to providing the same level of customer service you have come to expect, parts and equipment delays may be experienced.

Our teams are working proactively to ensure we are taking every step possible to meet your needs. A few things we would like you to know:

  • Thousands of salaried employees have crossed picket lines and are working around the clock to ensure equipment continues to ship.
  • Deere is committed to bolstering and prioritizing resources in the UAW-represented factories.
  • Non-UAW plants located in Greenville and Augusta are running at full capacity; mowers and small tractor inventories are not being affected.
  • John Deere is actively shipping parts. Machine down parts needs will remain a priority; daily stock orders have started shipping with a focus on 4-day turnarounds.
  • We have a solid base of parts inventory and have strategically implemented higher inventory levels in case shortages become a reality.
  • We will utilize other vendors to source parts as needed.
  • We utilize part routes between all our locations and can deliver these parts to you as requested/needed.

There may be some parts we do not have on hand but still have the ability to order. However, shipping delays may happen due to staffing constraints at the warehouse. We are committed to doing everything in our power to keep you up and running.

We cannot thank you enough for your patience and understanding as we navigate this challenge together.

Sincerely,

Josh Waggener
