The VP of Human Resources is responsible for leading the company’s HR team and guiding its strategic direction. The VP of HR is an expert on all aspects of human resources, including talent acquisition, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, legal compliance, and organizational development. This role provides leadership and vision to ensure that the organization’s HR practices align with its strategic goals. The VP is also responsible for ensuring that employees are well-informed about company operations and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership in planning, implementing, and maintaining the human resource policies, procedures, training and develop systems, and programs to support of the company’s operations and business goals.
  • Develop and execute organizational development, human capital strategies, and processes that include learning strategy, career development, building leadership and management capability, succession planning, change management, and performance optimization.
  • Provide HR business consulting to the CFO and leadership team. Advise, coach, and facilitate discussion with leaders to build and implement a people strategy that meets the current and future needs of the organization.
  • Translate business needs into comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives that contribute to long-term organizational success.
  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the company’s compensation, performance, and employee incentive programs; ensures regulatory compliance and competitive salary levels necessary to attract and retain qualified staff.
  • Oversee the administration of insurance, retirement, and other benefits programs; evaluate and develop recommendations for improvements to employer-sponsored benefit programs.
  • Oversee recruitment and employment processes, ensuring that all Federal and State laws, regulations, and standards are met.
  • Oversee the development of training and organizational development programs that address personal, professional, and organizational needs of company’s employees and departments.
  • Lead and coach the Human Resources team to deliver excellence and efficiencies in all aspects of HR through deployment of programs, ensuring quality of process and content alignment. Ensure that knowledge retention and sharing mechanisms are developed, continuously improved, and sustained.
  • Prepare reports for the CFO and Senior Leadership Team using business metrics and KPIs
  • Support management in the pursuit of corporate policies, plans, goals, and long-term objectives.

  • Participate in all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adheres to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or another relevant field
  • 10-15 years of experience working as a Vice President of Human Resources or another senior HR role
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and functions
  • Strong experience in planning, creating, and implementing HR strategies
  • Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of data analytics
  • Extensive understanding of labor laws

Working Conditions

  • General Physical Requirements:
  • Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Reaching, Standing, Walking, Fingering, Talking, Hearing, and Repetitive Motions.
  • Visual Acuity:
  • The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; expansive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (includes inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly of fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
  • The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
